in Ritchie County in 1842. The Broadwater family resided in Toll Gate, W. Va. in Ritchie County. There are family histories
and genealogies, scrapbooks, photographs, and other material.

Includes several letters from PFC Harry Carmichael during his service in World War II. Also includes various postcards and
greeting cards dating from the 1910s and 1920s, along with various other correspondence. Newspaper clippings pertain to Leonard
Broadwater's campaign for mayor of Parkersburg and a photograph of S.O. Steve Clayton, U.S. Navy, from World War II.
This scrapbook was originally Frye's Higher Geography, but many of the pages are covered with recipe clippings. Other clippings
include ideas for needlwork, advertisements for cooking utensils and instructions for mixed drinks.
