Three issues of "The West Virginia Bar", dating from March, July, and August of 1894. This periodical was published by the West Virginia State Bar Association and contains articles directed at lawyers and other law professionals practicing within the state. Includes summaries of ongoing cases; commentary regarding proposed changes to laws; letters to the editor; and advertisements for law books, among other content. Publication started in 1894; in 1896 the title was changed to simply "The Bar" and continued under that title until 1917. From 1918 on, "The Bar" was combined with the West Virginia University College of Law's quarterly periodical and was henceforth published as "West Virginia Law Quarterly and the Bar". Other issues of these publications may be found via the catalog of the West Virginia University Libraries.
