Formerly part of the Rare Books Division as E605.P54 1900, the proof sheets came from the Laburnum Library which was presented by the family of John Stewart Bryan to Rare Books, and were transferred to the Manuscripts Division on November 30, 1993.

This collection consists of the proof sheets, [1905 ?] for My Reminiscences of the War and Reconstruction Time recounting the experiences of the University of Virginia alumnus (1845-1846) Thomas Pinckney (1828-?) in raising a company for the Confederate Army during the Civil War, 101 pages on 34 leaves, with a pencilled note on the back of the last sheet, "Captain Thomas Pinckney, b. 1828, was UVA alumnus" and "Eldorado was near Charleston, S.C. 4th S.C. Cavalry."
