This letter, April 18, 1802, was written by Virginia governor, U. S. senator and congressman William Branch Giles (1762-1830), Washington, to William Jones . Giles, then member of the U. S. House of Representatives from Virginia , writes regarding the purchase of a carriage he has commissioned a Mr. Hance to build, House business, and news of personal health.
