The Harnsberger Papers were given to the Library by Mrs. T. K. Harnsberger of Harrisonburg, Virginia, on December 20, 1934.

This forty-eight item collection of papers of Thomas K. Harnsberger , 1912-1933 and n.d., contains petroleum reports, oil and geological maps, notes, a petroleum survey, printed material, and a letter to Harnsberger (February 29, 1928) as a stockholder in the E.I. Du Pont DeNemours Company .
The printed material pertains to the following topics: natural gas; oil development in Oklahoma ; the oil business; a balance sheet for White Motor Securities Corporation ; stockholders letters and statements from the International Telephone and Telegraph Corporation ; statements of the National City Bank of New York ; report of the Kirby Petroleum Company ; report of the White Motor Company ; gas lifts; stockholders annual report from the National Bellas Hess Company ; report regarding the Marland Oil Company ; a balance sheet for Chrysler Corporation ; a form letter to Packard stockholders; International Paper Company ; "The Growth of Chrysler"; Fenner and Beane ; "Remarkable Experiences of H. F. Sinclair with His Government" by Robert L. Owen ; "Maps, Charts, Well Logs, Tables, Cross Sections, Etc."; code of ethics from the American Association of Petroleum Geologists ; "A Bearish Chronicle of Some Bulls"; and a bank investment plan.
The organization of this collection is chronological, excluding the printed material which has been filed together in the last folder. A biographical sketch of Thomas Kennerly Harnsberger (1889-1934) can be found in the control folder.
