Scope and Content

The collection contains two items: a draft, 1794, and an account, 1816, in the hand of James Monroe . The draft of a dispatch, November 7, 1794, concerns French victories at Coblenz and over the Spanish whose standards were presented to the National Convention of France . It also discusses a recent decree by the National Convention restraining the activities of the Jacobins. There is also an account, 1816, with a Mr. Medley.
