Scope and Content

Souvenir Album issued by the United States Postal Service , stamped " William Faulkner /Commemorative/U.S. Postage Stamp/August 3, 1987/William Faulkner Collection/University of Virginia Library," containing one sheet of the stamps, apparently the first sheet issued, as the block number is "1." The design of the stamp is based on an oil portrait by Murray Lloyd Goldsborough .
