Pratt family papers, 1859, 1886, Accession #11283-b, Special Collections Dept., University of Virginia Library, Charlottesville, Va.
These items were purchased by the Library from Paul Collinge of Heartwood Books, Charlottesville, Virginia, on March 5, 1997.
There are two items, 1857 and 1886, relating to the Pratt family. There is a letter, July 1, 1857, addressed to "Friend Pratt" by an unknown correspondent at the University of Virginia, which is a two-page discourse on friendship. There is also a typescript of a deed, dated June 1, 1886, between Evalina Pratt and William Patrick of Augusta County, Virginia. The deed concerns the sale of a tract of land, of 200 acres more or less, situated in the County of Augusta near Waynesboro, and being the same tract of land conveyed to Evalina Pratt by the deed of R. P. Bell.
