Anthony Trollope Letter to John Henry Ingram, 1879, Accession #11158, Special Collections Dept., University of Virginia Library, Charlottesville, Va.
This letter was purchased by the University of Virginia Library on November 17, 1994, from Vesta Gordon, The Book Broker, Charlottesville, Virginia.
This collection consists of a three-page autograph letter, June 4, 1879, from the British novelist, Anthony Trollope (1815-1882), Montagu Square, to John Ingram, informing Ingram that he has no copy of his article published in the Dublin University Magazine in 1859; he has only one copy of his lecture given at the General Post Office six or seven years afterward, which he hesitates to send for fear of losing it, and "I know no special details respecting your Edgar Poe."
