This collection purchased from Jerry N. Showalter, Ivy, VA, on August 21, 1997.
The collection contains manuscripts of a World War I poem "The March"; two short stories, "The Old, Old Mistress" and "A Wartime Episode"; an essay on Reconstruction and the servant problem told from the viewpoint of the descendant of Virginia gentry, titled "A Price and a Problem"; and the last page of an unidentified short story.
There is also a pencil sketch by Ewell of an area of the Bull Runn battlefield near the Henry House, drawn for her book "A Virginia Scene."
