The photographs were purchased by the Library from Krainik Gallery Vintage Photographs, Falls Church, Virginia, on January 6, 1989.
These three stereoscopic photographs of Virginia scenes, ca. 1860-1900, include stereoviews of the Old Colonial Church, Hampton, Virginia, published by Alfred S. Campbell, Elizabeth, New Jersey, dated 1896; Blanford Church built 1720, Petersburg, Virginia, published by Kilburn Brothers, Littleton, New Hampshire, ca. 1870's; and War Views of Falls Church, Virginia, negative by Mathew Brady, and published by E.& H.T. Anthony, New York, ca. 1860's.
