World War I Lapel Pins, 1918, in the Joseph M. Bruccoli Great War Collection, Accession #10875-ay, Special Collections Dept., University of Virginia Library, Charlottesville, Va.
These items were given to the University of Virginia Library by William Norris, Victoria, Australia, through Matthew J. Bruccoli, on April 25, 1997.
This collection consists of two lapel pins honoring "Remembrance Day, 1918, ANZAC, Australia's Heroes, Gallipoli, April 25th, 1915," with red, white, and blue colored ribbon attached at the top. On the back side is written, "Proceeds in aid of State War Council for Soldiers, Widows, and Orphans and R.S.S.I.L.A. [Returned Sailor's and Soldier's Imperial League of Australia]." The lapels were manufactured by A. W. Patrick, Button and Badge Maker, Victoria, Australia.
