World War I songs and other papers, 1917-1918, in the Joseph M. Bruccoli Great War Collection, Accession #10875-e, Special Collections Dept., University of Virginia Library.
These items were given to the Library on April 2, 1991, by Matthew Bruccoli of Columbia, South Carolina.
This addition to the Joseph M. Bruccoli Great War Collection consists of nine items, ca. 1917-1918, including a postcard from C.[S.?] Jones to Mrs. C.O. Allen (1918 Dec 14) concerning his not being at home for Christmas and expressing yuletide wishes; six pieces of various correspondence and notices from the Office of the Chief Engineer, War Department, to Winfield T. Potter and George Ross; and two broadsides of music associated with the War, "Songs the Soldiers and Sailors Sing" and "Hike Songs No. 2" compiled by William McEwan Army Song Leader Camp Jackson, South Carolina.
