Postcard albums, portraits and other World War I miscellany, 1915-1947, in the Joseph M. Bruccoli Great War Collection, accession #10947-g,-h,-i, Special Collections Dept, University of Virginia Library, Charlottesville, Va.
This material was given to the Library on May 15, 1991, by Matthew Bruccoli of Columbia, South Carolina.
This addition to the Joseph M. Bruccoli Great War Collection consists of seven items, ca. 1915-1923, and include the following: a postcard album (ca. 1920-1921) with scenes of Westminister Abbey, The Cenataph, Paris, and Rheims, after the war, apparently collected while on one of Cook's Automobile Tours in Paris and Environs and through the Battlefields of France and Belgium; a typed letter from M.H. Lazarus Company to A.C. Seabrook, December 14, 1915, concerning business, prepared on an advertising flyer for the "Southern Commercial Congress"; a military Christmas Card from Rex E.E., December 3, 1918, with Christmas wishes and a note of his arrival home; a printed "Address of Major General James G. Harbord, U.S. Army Dedication of Belleau Wood" (July 22, 1923); a program, [1918] March 17, for an event at the Atlanta Auditorium prepared by the Atlanta War Camp Community Service; an advertisement flyer for the book, U.S. Official Pictures of the World War ; and "The Army and Navy Needle Book."
