Sketchbook of World War I Scenes, 1915-1916, in the Joseph M. Bruccoli World War I collection, Accession #10875-j, Special Collections Dept., University of Virginia Library, Charlottesville, Va.
This sketchbook was given to the Library by Glenn Horowitz, New York, New York, through Matthew Bruccoli of Columbia, South Carolina, on September 4, 1991.
This addition to the Joseph M. Bruccoli Great War Collection consists of a bound sketchbook, 1915-1916, ca. 90 leaves, most of which contain charcoal, pencil, pen-and-ink, and watercolor drawings and sketches of people and scenes of the area around Loos, France, drawn by D. C[olles] Bird.
