Acquisition Information

This addition to the Libertarian Party Papers was a gift to the Library by Roger Lea MacBridge on January 9, 1985.

Scope and Content Information

The collection contains seven cassette recordings of interviews, 1984, conducted by Thomas G. Palmer with the following members of the Libertarian Party: Roy Childs, Jr., Edward E. Clark, Edward H. Crane, Eric Garris, Honey Lanham, David F. Nolan, Justin Ramundo, and Andrea Rich. The interviews deal with the history of the Libertarian Party, including early organization of political activity, the conference sponsored by the New York Libertarian Association in 1971, the first party convention in 1972, and further development of party ideas and actions. In addition, there are transcripts of selected portions of the interviews, and letters concerning the questions.
