Alexander Gordon Gilliam, Papers concerning the 25th reunions of the University of Virginia classes of 1954 and 1955, 1979-1981, Accession #10589, University of Virginia Library, Charlottesville, Va.
This material was given to the Library by Alexander G. Gilliam, Jr., of the Office of the President, University of Virginia, on March 19, 1984.
This collection consists of 52 items, 1979-1981, and includes correspondence, programs, and notes regarding the twenty-fifth reunions of the University of Virginia classes of 1954 and 1955. There are three computer printouts, March-June 1980, containing the names and addresses of the class of 1955. The material chiefly concerns the organization of the class reunions, attendance, programs, and suggestions for future reunions. Correspondents from the University administration and the Alumni Association include: Alexander G. Gilliam, Jr., Office of the President; George G. Grattan IV, Office of the Legal Adviser; John J. Owen, Office of University Development; and, Gilbert J. Sullivan, University of Virginia Alumni Association. Correspondents from the classes of 1954 and 1955 include: John B. Fassett; William V. King; C. William Kuhlthau III; Donald H. Rhodes; Sidney Buford Scott; Leonard H. Simpson III; Welton Stone; J. Hume Taylor; Stuart Valentine; and Charles Brent Winn.
