Scope and Content Information

In his typed letter dated October 16, 1979, and written in Tangier, Morocco, Paul Bowles replies to an inquiry from Andrea Brown, explaining that he always sends his material out to a publisher as soon as he writes it and that he experiences no agonizing "turning point" of indecision over whether to submit it or not. He then assures her that the submission of materials and the receipt of rejection notes are all a part of the profession of writing.
