This collection was a gift to the Library on July 22, 1987 by Mrs. Linton R. Massey, Kinloch, Keswick, Virginia.

Scope and Content

This collection consists of ca. 400 items, 1964-1987, pertaining to the Robert E. Lee Memorial Association, Inc. and its management of Stratford Hall, Westmoreland County, Virginia. Material includes: minutes for the Spring Conferences of Committees and Annual Councils; miscellaneous papers such as correspondence, agendas and schedules, reports of committees, membership lists, and newspaper clippings; sketches of Stratford Hall and guidelines for its development and management; an architectural report by Buchanan and Phillips; and, copies of the Stratford Journal.
