The notecards for the bibliography were loaned to the University of Virginia Library on September 17, 1956; and the article about Giuseppe Ceracchi and the transcript of the memoirs were both given to the University of Virginia Library by James A. Bear, Jr., on June 25, 1971 (#5454-d) and on September 1, 1966 (#5454-c).

These three accessions consist of notes collected by James A. Bear, Jr. for his projected Bibliography of Virginia History Since 1865 , ca. 1956, ca. 200 notecards (#5454); an article by James A. Bear, Jr. entitled "The Giuseppe Ceracchi Bust of Jefferson," ca. 1971 (#5454-d); and one transcript, ca. 1966, prepared by James A. Bear, Jr. of the Memoirs of Thomas Jefferson Randolph originally written in 1874 (#5454-c). There are two holograph versions of these memoirs in the Edgehill-Randolph Papers (#1397).
