Thomas Jefferson Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution Papers, Accession 343-m, Special Collections Department, University of Virginia Library
These papers were given to the Library by the Thomas Jefferson Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, through K. Edward Lay, Chapter Historian, of Charlottesville, Virginia, on June 10, 1987.

These additional papers of the Thomas Jefferson Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution contain ca. 225 items (1 Hollinger box), 1971-1986, composed predominantly of correspondence and papers of the Chapter's president, which include such material as the reports from the nominating committees, membership lists, the constitution of the organization, memoranda, treasurer's report, agendas, and minutes.
The collection also has a small correspondence folder concerning Howard L. Hamilton , President General of the Sons of the American Revolution; newsclippings concerning the activities of members and obituaries of deceased members; photographs of wreath-laying ceremonies at Monticello , the 14th Virginia Regiment Fife & Drum Corps , and Thomas Jefferson Chapter meetings; and printed material such as the SAR Handbook, The Virginia Bulletin , and the SAR Magazine .
