These items were given to the Library by William B. O'Neal, Charlottesville, Virginia, on June 24, 1992.
This addition to the Warren Chappell Collection contains three items, undated, comprising a "Bloody Mary Kit" designed by illustrator Warren Chappell (1904-1991), using pen and ink drawings, consisting of an insert "Bloody Mary Kit/No Flavor Added" depicting an executioner's axe and mask; a jar labeled "Pete's Bloody" featuring an axe and a chopping block; a Gordon's vodka bottle with a label pasted over the original label, reading "Pete's Vodka/80 Proof/Pete's Mary" with a picture of a headsman striking off the woman's head. These items are in a customized cardboard box measuring 6 1/2 x 12 inches.
