The drawing was purchased by the University of Virginia Library from Oak Knoll Books, New Castle, Delaware, on November 28, 1995.

Scope and Content Information

This addition to the Warren Chappell Collection consists of a framed and matted original full color pen-and-ink watercolor drawing signed by American illustrator Warren Chappell (1904-1991). The illustration is from the chapter entitled "Longnose The Dwarf" in The Fairy Ring edited by Kate Douglas Wiggin and Nora Archibald Smith which was published by Doubleday in 1967.
