Richard Nixon's letter to Hugh Scott with Scott's Reply, February 22 and March 12, 1985, Accession #10200-w, University of Virginia Library, Charlottesville, Va.
These letters were given to the Library by Hugh Scott on 1 April 1985.
The collection consists of former President Richard Nixon's letter of February 22, 1985, to former Senator Hugh Scott of Pennsylvania, which originally accompanied a gift copy of Nixon's book No More Vietnams to Scott; Nixon says the United States tried and failed in a just cause in Vietnam. Scott's reply, in letter of March 12, 1985, thanks Nixon for the book, mentions Scott is co-chairman of Arlen Specter's campaign, and mentions illness of Scott's wife, Marian.
