Photographs of William Faulkner, 1960-1977, Accession #9826, 9826-b, University of Virginia Library, Charlottesville, Va.
This collection is a gift from Mrs. Ethel V. Moore, of Fox Fields, Albermarle County, Virginia on November 10, 1972.
The scenes are Faulkner and Grover H. Vandevender before a 1960 hunt; Faulkner, Mary Jordan, Mrs. Sam Wells, and Grover H. Vandevender before a 1961 hunt; Faulkner blowing a hunting horn, 1960; and Faulkner and Grover H. Vandevender mounted before a Farmington hunt.
The photographs include a magazine portrait of Faulkner, a color photograph of Faulkner, Grover Vandevender, Mary Jordan, and Mrs. Bobbie Wells sitting on a fence at a hunt, and a photograph of Estelle Faulkner, Linton Massey, and Vandevender congratulating Harry Hyer for winning the William Faulkner memorial race.
