Manuscripts Department from the Rare Book Department on
April 16, 1986.
This collection consists of sixty-one architectural
drawings, 1930-1931, for the Clarksville residence of Mrs. W.
R. Massie of "Rose Hill" in Greenwood, Virginia, by the
architectural firm of [William Lawrence] Bottomley, [W.
Sydney] Wagner & [Cornelius J.] White of New York City.
Also present are seven pages of specifications and a cover
letter signed by White.
Plans of the breakfast room, 1st and 2nd
floor; structural drawings from Richmond Structural
Steel Co., Inc. details of chimney, elevator, cornice,
south terrace chain, and windows
Bearing wall plan of basement, elevator plan
and elevation, details of string ornament for stairs,
dining room mantel, windows, breakfast room, and transom
