Letter from Thornton Wilder, Hamden, Connecticut, to an Unknown Correspondent, # 9773-g, Special Collections Dept., University of Virginia Library, Charlottesville, Va.
This letter was purchased from Barry Cassidy Rare Books on December 29, 1987.
Wilder informs his correspondent that the action of the German Republic is taking away the charter of an [unnamed] Institute "for not living up to its announced program." This information came from the secretary of the American Academy via the cultural attache of the German Embassy.
