This collection consists of a letter, October 15, 1931, from Phil Stone, James Stone & Sons, Lawyers, Oxford, Mississippi, to Jonathan Cape & Harrison Smith, Publishers, New York, New York. Stone writes regarding his autographed presentation copies of the Marble Faun by William Faulkner and the prices for which he would sell. He mentions that Ben Wasson revealed to Faulkner the recent sale of copy with no autograph.
