Acquisition Information

This material was loaned to the Library on August 15, 1988, by Elizabeth Murray, Coordinator of the Ivy Creek Foundation of Charlottesville, Virginia, through Bernice Grohskopf of Charlottesville, Virginia.

Scope and Content Information

This collection consists of eleven photographic copies of newsclippings, photographs, and obituaries, 1988, all pertaining to the Carr family of Albemarle County, Virginia. These copies were used for the article "Legacies" by Bernice Grohskopf published in Albemarle Magazine , June 1988.

The article discusses the contributions of the Carr family to the Albemarle area, and the history of the "Riverview Farm" which later became the first acquisition of the Ivy Creek Natural Area.
