This collection consists of a one page letter, with a fragment of a postscript on the integral leaf, from Charles James Apperley ("Nimrod"), Upper Belgrave Place, to Charles Spooner, May 1, 1843, concerning the request of Mr. Bancroft of Barnstaple for Apperley to inspect, "in you presence, a patent saddle-tree of his invention. If you will make an appointment for any day, between the hours of eleven and two, I will attend to it."
