Holsinger Studio Photographs of Charlottesville, 1935, Accession #9862-e , Special Collections Dept., University of Virginia Library, Charlottesville, Va.
These photographs were given to the University of Virginia Library by Laura Frances Parrish, for the Jones Memorial Library, Lynchburg, Virginia, on June 8, 1994.
This collection consists of a small bound album of five photographs, ca. 1935, by Holsinger Studio of Charlottesville, Virginia. They include:
1) Redlands Club "Home of Charlottesville's Politicians"
2) A.L. Carter of the Virginian Publishing Service
Company with the second largest light in the world atop the
Monticello Hotel, Charlottesville, Virginia. Light from the
Sesqui-Centennial at Philadelphia in 1926
3) Home of Mr. & Mrs. Everard Meade in Gildersleeve
Wood. Prize for most compact and livable home. John Habberton
- February 1934.
4) Charlottesville Hitching Yard on property of the
Chesapeake and Ohio, "The Tie Lot"
5) Albemarle County Court House, Charlottesville,
Virginia
