The volume was purchased from Louis Ginsberg of Petersburg, Virginia, on February 16, 1987.

Scope and Content Information

This bound volume records the minutes of the New Kent District Baptist Sunday School meetings from 1938-1955. Included are the names of officers, financial reports, and the agenda for each meeting. The New Kent District of Hanover County was comprised of the following black churches: Mount Zion, Lebanon, Second Liberty, New Branch, and New Elam.
