This material was given to the Library by Mrs. Elizabeth C. Lanhorne of Charlottesville, Virginia, on February 16, 1994.

Scope and Content Information

This collection of research materials, 1920-1966, and 1975, consists of ca. 78 items, pertaining to Elizabeth C. Lanhorne's book Nancy Astor and Her Friends. These preliminary research materials include original letters, newspaper clippings and other printed material, and handwritten research notes by the author. There is also an oversize item, an early autograph manuscript draft of the book, with heavy additions and revisions by the author.

Organization

The original folders which were marked with topics have been filed in permalife inserts with similar topic headings. These were early headings and do not exactly follow the book.
