Letters from Sinclair Lewis to Albert Hergesheimer, Accession #7834-g, Special Collections Dept., University of Virginia Library, Charlottesville, Va.
This collection was purchased on 1994 October 4.
In these letters of Sinclair Lewis to Albert Hergesheimer, Lewis regrets he cannot offer financial aid or allow Hergesheimer to do a dramatization of "Elmer Gantry."
Lewis is unable to offer financial aid to this new writer but offers to send his name to publisher Harrison Smith who may be able to help him.
Lewis regretfully writes that it would be impossible for him to do a dramatization of Elmer Gantry as it was done within the past few years.
