Letter from Pearl S. Buck to Katharine Cornell, Accession#7795-e , Special Collections Dept., University of Virginia Library, Charlottesville, Va.
This collection was purchased on 1996 November 11.
This letter was written by Pearl S. Buck, New York, to Katharine Cornell. It discusses the possibility of publishing The Engineers , "Will you talk with me quite frankly, when we meet, about The Engineers ? Because I don't want to take it to anyone else but you. If someday you want to do it and if you don't mind having it published, perhaps at once, even. If on the other hand you are doubtful that you will ever do it, then of course I must see who else could do it and how she would feel about its being published..." Buck also mentions that she is about to leave on a trip to the Midwest.
