This typescript was given to the Library by Mrs. L.B. Wescott of Rosemont, New Jersey, and Mrs. Joseph Franklin Biddle II of Huntington, Pennsylvania, on August 26, 1963.
Francis B. Harrison was born in New York City on December 18, 1873. He graduated from Yale University in 1895 and continued his education in the New York Law School. After becoming a member of the bar, he spent many years as a congressman. In 1913, he was named Governor General for the Philippines. He remained very active in Filipino politics until his retirement.
This collection consists of ca. 495 pages (1 Hollinger box) of a typescript titled "About it and About." The typescript, with autograph corrections, was completed in 1946, and appears to be Harrison's autobiography.
