Scope and Content Information

In this letter, William Ellery Channing [Sr.] thanks Edward Rainsford for the two copies of Channing's writings published abroad and is pleased that his material has found favor abroad. Encloses a review "just published by me in the Christian Examiner ." Adds that "this letter will be handed you, I hope, by Rev. Mr. Ware" [to whom envelope is addressed]. "I wish him to know you, especially as he may be aided by you...he is one of our most accomplished ministers, joining liberality and sense in an uncommon degree."
