In this letter from Archibald MacLeish, Cambridge, Massachusetts, to "Miss Loosy Prat," Westoner's School, Middlebury, Connecticut, MacLeish writes a humorous letter making application to enter into the school his now eight-day old daughter, Mary Hillard MacLeish, and including references both "living & dead."
