Letter to Ellicott Evans, Accession #6990-l , Special Collections Dept., University of Virginia Library, Charlottesville, Va.
This collection was purchased by the Library on January 29, 1992.
This collection consists of a letter written by Charles Dudley Warner, Hartford, to Professor Ellicott Evans. He comments extensively on the wonderful hospitality and kindness shown by Evans on his visit and his excitement about electricity, "Thanks to you I have become a perfect lightning rod, so to speak, and have spread electricity among all my friends . . . Can you give me the name and address of the Boston battery you were using? I shall probably want to get one when I am there."
