Scope and Content Information

Nicholas Vachel Lindsay, Gulfport, Mississippi writes to Harry Hansen, The Chicago Daily News Lindsay and thanks Hansen for his kind words but asks him to quit announcing that he is sick, vigorously asserting his health and fitness, in spite of all the flowers he has received from as far away as London. He also describes his daily routine, "I swim into the sunrise every morning at ten minutes of five, straight across the Gulf of Mexico, and then come home and write sea-horse poetry that would make you snort. Watch for the Mohawk ." 1 p., with envelope. ALS.
