Letter and Card of Theodore Roosevelt, Accession # 5844-e, Special Collections Dept., University of Virginia Library, Charlottesville, Va.
This collection was transferred from the Rare Book Division on 24 June 1996.
The collection contains a letter, 1912 July 7, Roosevelt to Byron Phelps, thanking him for a letter and a check. A White House card with Roosevelt's signature is also included.
Theodore Roosevelt, on The Outlook stationery, New York City, to Byron Phelps, Seattle, Washington. Roosevelt writes, "I thank you for your letter and also for the check for twenty dollars, which I have sent to the Treasurer. I appreciate your courtesy very much, and it was particularly pleasing to get such a letter from a former Mayor of Seattle."
