TLS, 1 page, laid into the first volume of The Winning of the West by Theodore Roosevelt (Barrett PS2734R5W65 1889 v.1)

Theodore Roosevelt, on The Outlook stationery, New York City, to Byron Phelps, Seattle, Washington. Roosevelt writes, "I thank you for your letter and also for the check for twenty dollars, which I have sent to the Treasurer. I appreciate your courtesy very much, and it was particularly pleasing to get such a letter from a former Mayor of Seattle."
