Letter to Martia A. Vanamee, Accession #6179-r, Special Collections Dept., University of Virginia Library, Charlottesville, Va.
This collection was purchased on 1989 June 30.
The letter, 1904 Sep 25, was from John Burroughs to [Martia] A. Vanamee. Burroughs extols the many benefits of his stay with her and her brother at the beach, saying "You have placed me hopelessly in your debt." He then indicates that he is going to New York to be sculpted by Mrs. [Adelaide ?] Johnson after a short stay at home.
