Protests for Non-Payment of Notes Sent to Z.G. Shugart and H.F. Shugart, Accession #6846-cu, Special Collections Dept., University of Virginia Library, Charlottesville, Va.
This accession was purchased by the Rare Books Department on April 16, 1984.
This accession consists of four items, 1858, 1859, and 1891, including three prtests for non-payment of notes by Z.J. and H.F. Shugart drawn on banks in Wytheville and Petersburg, Virginia. The fourth item is an article of agreement between W. T. Yancey and Lewis Rawlings regarding the purchase of stock by Yancey in the Endowment Building Association of Virginia; on its reverse is a map of West Lynchburg.
