These miscellaneous literary items were transferred from the Rare Books Department on July 29, 1985.
This collection of seven items, 1806-1982, contains publicity material for Mulligan Stew by Gillbert Sorrentino, including a photograph, a press release, and five letters. The correspondence includes: Charles Hunter Ross to Richard Henry Stoddard (February 26, 1894)regarding Stoddard's letters of Henry Timrod; R. Kane to R. M. Bellow (April 14, 1852) regarding a biography of Lord George Bentrick; Lt. Rossel to M. Le Rebours (October 16, 1806), in French, concerning repairs to some eyeglasses; Wilmarth S. Lewis to Alfred D. Swahn (October 21, 1967), acknowledging Swahn's comments about his books; and A. Leslie Rowse to Fredson Bowers (February 3, 1982) pertaining to Bower's comments on Rowse's poetry, a discussion of historian-poets and poetry review.
