Scope and Content

Three photographs from Beerbohm's "Fifty caricatures" including drawings of Thomas Hardy, Gerhart Hauptmann, and three figures representing the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries with the caption, "And Only Just Thirteen," subtitled, "The Grave Misgivings of the Nineteenth Century, and the Wicked Amusement of the Eighteenth, in watching the Progress (or whatever it is) of the Twentieth."
