Scope and Content

The collection consists of 45 movie reels of events at the University of Virginia, 1963-1976. The titles of the films are taken from labels attached to the reels. Topics include: the College Bowl, 1963; President's reception, 1968; student demonstrations, 1969-1970; NASA Kohoutek Project, 1973; and Frank L. Hereford's inauguration; as well as a copy of "The eye of Thomas Jefferson," 1976.

Other topics include reception at Carr's Hill, 1967; Registration day, ca. 1967; cheerleaders; Founders Day 1975, 1976; students eating; dormitories, ca. 1967; Clinch Valley; Baseball facilities; co-rec volleyball; football; U.
