This is a collection of four University of Virginia student notebooks from the years 1877-1878.

Arrangement

Notebook 1: Bound notebook containing lecture notes taken by Mr. Wittenberg of 124 Dawson's Row for Professor Thomas R. Pace's Greek class, 1877-1878.

Notebook 2: Unbound notebook containing notes taken by an unidentified student for an English grammar and composition course, 1877-1878.

Notebook 3: Bound notebook containing lecture notes taken by R.B. Epperson of Jefferson, Texas, for Professor Noah K. Davis' philosophy and political economy class, and for Stephen O. Southall's class on mercantile law, 1877-1878.

Notebook 4: Unbound notebook containing notes taken by an unidentified student for a philosophy and theology class.
