Biographical/Historical Information
The Union Brokerage first appears in the Richmond city directories in 1891, and appears to have ceased operations in 1901. Officers of the company were E.A. Saunders, president, Junius A. Morris, first vice president, L.C. Younger, second vice president, Charles Davenport, secretary-treasurer, and John Adam, manager. Offices and warehouses were located at 113 South 14th Street.
Scope and Content Information
Includes a cashbook (1895-1901), a journal (1899-1901) and a ledger (1899-1901), which record charges for various goods to accounts of individuals and firms in Richmond, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, New York, and Philadelphia.
