Biographical/Historical Information
Richard Bryarly was a farmer, ferryman, moneylender and real estate speculator of the Frederick County, Virginia, area. He bought most of his holdings from the executors of Thomas Bryan Martin.
Scope and Content Information
Includes account book of ferriages and merchandise, 1788-1804 (1 vol.); accounts of leases by Denny Fairfax in Fauquier, Frederick, and Shenandoah Counties, Virginia, rents to be collected and unpaid bonds, 1786-1796 (1 vol.); rents received, bonds and notes payable, 1792-1804 (1 vol.); and accounts of leases and rents paid, as well as a list of bonds, 1786-1801 (1 vol.).
