Daybook, March 1874-April 1875, of John W. Wiley and Company, a general store, that records transactions in chronological order on a daily basis. Information found in entries includes name of customer, date of transaction, items purchased, quantity of items purchased, cost of each item, form of payment, and total amount owed and paid. Merchandise sold includes lamps, spices, nails, violin strings, dry goods, clothing, lard, and shoes. Payments made by cash, check, credit, or barter of items such as flour, butter, and produce.
At the back of volume is a list of goods turned over to D.C. Mallory by John W. Wiley and Company on Marh 31, 1875. Information found includes quantity of item, name of item, cost of each item, and total amount.
